WHAT IS DOMESTIC ABUSE?

Domestic Abuse is:

Emotional / Mental / Physical / Sexual Abuse of one person by another, where the two people are, or have been, in a close relationship.

Domestic Abuse includes the use of:

Slaps / Punches / Verbal Insults /
Demands and Threats / Kicking / Shouting /
Taunts and Sexual Assault

Abuse can:

Happen only once
Over a short period of time
Be systematic, continuous and sustained.

The Abuse of Women can lead to severe trauma and injuries and permanent health problems. 
Some incidences of abuse result in death.
